Groups and Rentals
Organize a group visit, school field trip, or private event aboard Red Oak Victory with planning support tailored to your needs.
Group tours
For large groups (more than five people), email info@redoakvictory.us with a proposed date, time, and total number of visitors. Normally tours are offered on Sundays, but with at least one month advance notice, tours can often be arranged on other days.
Let us know whether your group prefers docent-led guided tours or self-guided tours. Paper brochure self-guided tours have no practical group-size limit, while audio self-guided devices are limited to 25 at one time.
For docent-led tours up to 24 visitors, groups can be accommodated at one time using up to four simultaneous groups of six plus one docent per group due to narrow passageways and small compartments.
For groups larger than 24 requesting docent-led tours, many visitors split the day: half tour Red Oak Victory while half visit Rosie the Riveter World War II Home Front National Historical Park, then switch in the afternoon.
School visits
Red Oak Victory can support school field trips and educational group visits by arrangement. School visits should be planned in advance so the crew can confirm availability, group size, tour format, and safety requirements.
Because Red Oak Victory is a historic working ship with gangways, ladders, narrow passageways, and compact compartments, school groups should provide the expected number of students, grade range, number of adult chaperones, preferred dates, and any accessibility or mobility considerations.
To discuss a school visit, email info@redoakvictory.us with the requested date, group size, grade range, and primary contact information.
Private rentals
Looking for a unique venue with breathtaking views of San Francisco Bay to host an event? Red Oak Victory has meeting spaces available to rent that can accommodate large or small groups. Please email info@redoakvictory.us to learn more and schedule your next event.
Several spaces are available on board the ship to host parties, dinners, ceremonies, corporate events, meetings, trainings, presentations, workshops, dances, social events, networking events, art events, and performances.

Cargo Hold No. 3 is the same size space as Hold No. 4 but with a theater configuration. There are 90 theater seats and other tables and chairs can be added. A built-in audio-visual system has a large screen and projector that can use both DVD and computer input. There is also a Tiki bar in one corner. Perfect for business presentations and movies. Capacity: 125
Officer’s Wardroom
The Officer’s Wardroom on the Red Oak Victory is virtually unchanged since the ship was launched in 1944. This compartment was used by the ship’s officers for dining and for meetings and now you can do the same. The space is ideal for intimate dinners or business meetings for up to 15 people.
Weather Decks
Red Oak Victory can also rent space on the weather decks, i.e. outdoors, during the summer time. Contact us to find out more about that option.
