Large Group Tours
For large groups (more than six people), email us at info@redoakvictory.us and give us a proposed date and time plus the number of people in your group. Normally, tours are only offered on Sundays, however with at least one month’s advance notice, we can usually provide tours on other days of the week.
Also, let us know if you wish to do docent-led guided tours or self-guided (that is, “on your own”), tours. There is no practical limit to the group size for paper brochure self-guided tours. However, we can only provide 25 audio self-guided tours at one time.
Depending on the number of people in your group, there are a couple of options for docent-led tours:
(1) For docent-led tours of up to twenty-four visitors, we can accomodate the group all at one time. We have a limit of four simultaneous tours of no more than six people plus one docent in each tour group. This is due to the narrowness of some passageways and the small size of many of the ship’s compartments.
(2) For groups larger than twenty-four people who wish to take docent-led tours, we find that many of our visitors have half of the group visit the Rosie the Riveter World War II Homefront National HIstoric Park while the other half tours Red Oak Victory in the morning. Then they switch the groups for the afternoon. The Rosie the Riveter Historic Park is just a short drive from Red Oak Victory. For more information about the park, click here.
Once you have all this information collected for your group, email us at info@redoakvictory.us and let us know what you would like to do. From there, we will work together on scheduling and logistics.
