Large Group Tours
Bring your group to tour Red Oak Victory!
Email us at info@redoakvictory.us for information on scheduling group tours. Please be prepared to give us a proposed date and time plus the number of people in your group. Normally, tours are only offered on Sundays, however with at least one month’s advance notice, we can usually provide tours on other days of the week.
Also, let us know if you wish to do docent-led guided tours or self-guided (that is, “on your own”), tours. There is no practical limit to the group size for self-guided tours. Depending on the number of people in your group, there are a couple of options for docent-led tours:
(1) For docent-led tours of up to twenty-four visitors, we can accomodate the group all at one time. We have a limit of four simultaneous tours of no more than six people plus one docent in each tour group. This is due to the narrowness of some passageways and the small size of many of the ship’s compartments.
(2) For groups larger than twenty-four people who wish to take docent-led tours, we find that many of our visitors have half of the group visit the Rosie the Riveter World War II Homefront National HIstoric Park while the other half tours Red Oak Victory in the morning. Then they switch the groups for the afternoon. The Rosie the Riveter Historic Park is just a short drive from Red Oak Victory. For more information about the park, click here. However, this is not the only option for larger groups. Please contact us at info@redoakvictory.us to discuss other options for your group.
